Hey NANA
Do you remember the first time we met?
because I believe it was fated
for us to become good friends
I figured that it is part of our destinies
so smile about it.

Two different girls yet with the same name - Nana. Both with different
backgrounds have their paths crossed one day. They thought it would
be a one day thing, however things got more complicating when fate brought them together again as room mates.

" Even though I believe in dreams
I never would have dreamed
that I would meet once more....
That girl I only knew by name "

The story unravels into their intertwining lives, as both go through ups and downs just to maintain their very special friendship.

Komatsu Nana
is a plain simple girl. Her idea life is to have a happy family with the man she loves.

Oosaki Nana
is a j-rocker. Music is her life. She even gave up her love for it.

NANA acts a little like a stray cat
wild, free, and proud
but inside her heart,she houses a wound
as dense as I am, I thought that
this trait of hers was part of her charm as well...
but she never realized how much pain it brought her "

other than those two, I won't describle the other main charicters, I believe that by mentioning them, I will end up telling half of the story
"and that is not fun at all"
so I will leave it to you to find out each charicter gradually with the flow of the manga events.

The Mangaka

Ai Yazawa (born March 7, 1967)
is a popular girls' manga author in Japan.
Yazawa started her mangaka publishing life in 1985, when she was 17 years
old. Throughout 15 years of publishing, she wrote over 10 series in Ribon.
While her finished manga continue to be published in Japan by Ribon, they now appear in other magazines, including Zipper and Cookie.
Yazawa's most famous manga are Tenshi Nanka Ja Nai (I'm Not an Angel),
Gokinjo Monogatari (Neighborhood Story), Paradise Kiss, and NANA (Seven).

]Yes everyone, the manga has just been made in to a movie that is now
showing on japaneese movie theater since last week. every one,

بصراحه انا بعد ما قريت مانغا Paradise Kiss و هي نفس المانجاكا الي سوت Nana صاحبت الستايل الغريب Ai Yazawa و الكل ين عليها مع ان ما عجبني ستايلها وايد +_+ خصوصا شخصية جورج ...بس بعد ما شريت Shoujo Beat و قريت اول تشابترين بصراحه شوقتني هذه المانجا بالذات @_@ و ابي اعرف شنو راح يصير !!!!

انا عجبتني نانا صاحبت الروك ستايل اكثر بمليون مره <----- لاني احب الJ-rock

شيء ثاني ..تدرون ان اليابانين ميتين على قصة نانا لدرجه ان في منطقة Shibuya (المعروفه بكونها اكثر منطقة للشباب ووين يقضون وقتهم في مدينة طوكيو ) انهم فتحو مقهى اسمه Nana و اغلب الي اييون له من مهووسي نانا و خصوصا الPunk Nana +^_^+

you are absolutely right
the manga has a lot to do about rock and role, but it is more than that, you will know what I mean when you read it.
but you won't "hear" any thing, except if you watched the movie.
most of the music in the movie is rock and role. and I am like you , don't like that kind of music. but this time, it is different. you will LOVE the music

you know what? I think teh real story start at volum 2
I read vol 1 first a while ago, and didn't feel motivated to read the rest, but once I read the first page of the second volum, I got attracted to it.
now I am a big fan of it.

نانا المانجا الرائعة ..
قصتها جداً اسرتني ^_^
وتعجبني شخصية Oosaki Nana
اكثر شيء مدري يمكن علشانها "غامضة ومظلمة"
لكن كووول ! ونقطة الروك اند رول ^-^ جداً رائعة اتحمس مع المانجا
